The Batman: Zoe Kravitz Shares Interesting New Skill She Learned as Catwoman

Playing Catwoman clearly isn't as easy as it seems but Zoe Kravitz makes it look like a walk in a park. That's because the Big Little Lies star underwent intense training to portray Selina Kyle in The Batman. So what are the perks of doing all that hard work? Kravitz revealed that she has learned an interesting new skill while filming for the highly anticipated DC flick.

We finally got to see more of Zoe Kravitz's Catwoman in the latest trailer for The Batman where she looks elegant and dangerous at the same time. Interestingly, the Mad Max: Fury Road actress told Buzzfeed that one of the things she worked on a lot was how to kick properly.

"We worked with the stunt coordinator a lot to get a sense of her movements — we did a lot of floor work, but kicking seemed to be [Catwoman's] M.O," Kravitz said. She then admitted that the amount of time devoted to legwork was just crazy.

"I would be so sore because I would do drills and kicks and kicks and kicks for hours. Being able to kick gracefully and remain balanced, while maintaining the proper form and having it all look good on camera — that was definitely the biggest thing," Kravitz said.

So is that the only big thing that she learned while working on The Batman? Kravitz joked that she learned an interesting feminine skill as well.

"There was also some gun training — I had to be able to shoot the gun accurately, load it, and reshoot it, WITH these crazy-long nails...so learning how to shoot a gun without breaking a nail was a new skill I developed," Kravitz said with a laugh.

That's certainly an unusual skill but one that might be useful in everyday life. After all, if you can handle a weapon without breaking a nail, you'll be capable of just about anything. With that in mind, we can't wait to see more of Kravitz's Catwoman in action soon.

The Batman will premiere in theaters on March 4, 2022.
