Initially set to make its theatrical debut on June 2021, The Batman was delayed to October of the same year due to the production shutdown caused by the coronavirus pandemic. Things are seemingly looking up as the movie will restart shooting next month!

Having previously halted filming in March seven weeks into production, Variety reports that production for The Batman will pick back up in the U.K. in early September. The crew has been reportedly building sets for the film over the past few weeks, with rumors suggesting that the movie will abandon location shooting to be in studio sets instead. The outlet also says filming could wrap up even before the year ends because The Batman has around three months of material left to shoot.

Before production resumes for The Batman, fans will get a glimpse of what's to come in the film with a trailer set to be released at the upcoming DC FanDome event. Set to take place this Saturday, August 22nd, the panel will close out the virtual event.

The Batman stars Robert Pattinson, Zoe Kravitz, Jeffrey Wright, Paul Dano, Colin Farrell, Andy Serkis as Alfred, and more. The film is set for release on October 1, 2021.
