5. "Duel of the Fates" Suggests an Epic Duel

The iconic "Duel of the Fates" by legendary composer John Williams is easily one of the best things about both Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace (1999) and Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (2005).

It's haunting, emotional, and suspenseful, and many Star Wars fans now associate it with the epic clash between Obi-Wan Kenobi and a fallen Anakin Skywalker at the end of the third entry in the prequel trilogy.

As soon as the new Obi-Wan Kenobi trailer opens, we hear "Duel of the Fates", almost as if it's a warning of a great battle to come, or a "rematch of the century" if you will, as previously teased by Disney and Lucasfilm.

4. There are More Jedi on the Run

We've got a good idea as to what the basic premise of Obi-Wan Kenobi will be - following Order 66 and the rise of the Galactic Empire at the end of the Clone Wars, Obi-Wan goes into hiding, as seen at the end of Revenge of the Sith.

We also know that the show will take place 10 years after the events of that film, and therefore nine years before Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (1977). But what we don't know is whether any other Jedi will appear in the show.

However, in the new trailer, we hear Obi-Wan saying to someone, "Stay hidden, or we will not survive". While we know that the show will feature a young Luke Skywalker, it sounds like he could be speaking to other Jedi who are on the run.

3. Lars Owen Doesn't Trust Obi-Wan

Luke Skywalker's aunt and uncle, Owen Lars and Beru Lars, will be appearing in the show, with Joel Edgerton and Bonnie Piesse reprising their roles, having last appeared in Revenge of the Sith.

At the end of that film, we see Obi-Wan giving a baby Luke Skywalker over to them, and as we know, they end up raising him until they are horribly killed by the Galactic Empire in A New Hope.

In the trailer, Owen tells Obi-Wan, "Leave us alone". But the Jedi argues, "When the time comes, he [Luke] must be trained", to which Owen replies, "Like you trained his father?" Looks like there's some interesting conflict ahead!

Obi-Wan Kenobi will find the titular Jedi on the run as he tries to survive a galaxy ruled by the evil Galactic Empire. But it isn't just the Empire who's hot on his heels - they've dispatched 'Inquisitors' to hunt him down.

There are three main Inquisitors in the show - there's the Grand Inquisitor, Reva the Third Sister, and the Fifth Brother, all of whom appear to be relentless in their pursuit of Obi-Wan, having been ordered to kill him by Emperor Palpatine.

Towards the end of the trailer, we hear Reva saying "I want every low-life and bounty hunter to squeeze him", before shouting, "You can't run, Obi-Wan! You can't escape him!" She is, of course, referring to none other than Darth Vader.

1. We See Darth Vader

In what is easily the most jaw-dropping moment in the trailer, especially considering that Star Wars TV shows typically like to keep things under wraps until the episodes start streaming, we see an iconic villain in the making.

Yes, right at the very end of the trailer, we see Darth Vader himself being prepped and geared up by droids, just like we see at the end of Revenge of the Sith. While we don't see his face, this is still a prety epic moment.

The question is, how much will Darth Vader feature in the show? Well, it remains to be seen, but the fact that Hayden Christensen is reprising his role has us excited enough. In other words, the circle is already complete.
