The highly-anticipated spinoff series of The Boys titled Gen V wrapped its filming a while ago and fans have been looking forward to its arrival since it will be the opportunity for them to see more stories from the show's universe. As we're patiently waiting for the new series to arrive, it looks like they have recruited a well-known veteran actor to its cast.

According to One Take News, veteran actor Clancy Brown has joined the cast of Gen V. However, the details regarding the role that he is playing in the spinoff series are being kept under wraps at the moment. He is expected to appear in at least one episode and possibly more.

Set in a Vought International-owned college exclusively for young superheroes, Gen V is described as "an irreverent, R-rated series that explores the lives of hormonal, competitive Supes as they put their physical, sexual, and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the best contracts in the best cities. It's part college show, part Hunger Games - with all the heart, satire, and raunch of The Boys."

Brown is known for his roles in films such as Highlander, The Shawshank Redemption, and Starship Troopers. However, a lot of people will recognize him as the voice of Mr. Krabs in Spongebob Squarepants, and has done voice-over works in both DC and Marvel projects including Lex Luthor in Superman: The Animated Series and Surtur in Thor: Ragnarok.

He is certainly a great addition to the cast since he is a talented and wonderful actor who has done a lot of work in the past. It is curious to see what he has in store with his role, especially since he is now part of The Boys universe. While Amazon has not confirmed the casting themselves, we might hear more about it soon.
