The official synopsis of Teen Wolf: The Movie is as follows:

A full moon rises in Beacon Hills, and with it a terrifying evil has emerged. The wolves are howling once again, calling for the return of Banshees, Werecoyotes, Hellhounds, Kitsunes, and every other shapeshifter in the night. But only a werewolf like Scott McCall, no longer a teenager yet still an Alpha, can gather both new allies and reunite trusted friends to fight back against what could be the most powerful and deadliest enemy they've ever faced.

From the synopsis itself, Teen Wolf: The Movie will see the return of the wolves in Beacon Hills once the full moon arrives with a threat of an unimaginable evil that only the pack could face.

The wolf pack comes together with a heed to the return of the shapeshifters in the night like those abovementioned, and the gathering will be spearheaded by none other than Scott McCall.

See, Scott McCall is an Alpha since his teenage years, and now, even if he works as a valiant firefighter, he leaves his post, at 30 years old, to come back to Beacon Hills and lead the charge against the threat that lurks in the places.

Only Scott McCall could do it -- calling on old friends and getting new shapeshifters as they strengthen their alliance in facing what could be considered as the most powerful and the deadliest foe waiting for them.

Teen Wolf: The Movie sprung from the MTV series released in 2011 which followed Scott McCall who used to be a normal high school student in Beacon Hills but later became the eponymous werewolf after he was bit by an Alpha werewolf when he was in his sophomore year.

One bite literally changed it all for Scott as he had to learn and balance his new identity as a werewolf while dealing with the idiosyncrasies that come with it in being a typical high school student that would eventually make him the protector of Beacon Hills.

Not a lot of people could help Scott what he was going through because only his best friend, Stiles Stilinski, who is the son of Sheriff Stilinski, and Darek Hale, a natural-born werewolf, could fully understand what Scott was going through.

With one mistake, his heart was a traitor as he developed feelings with Allison Argent, his classmate who comes from a well-known family of werewolf hunters.

Throughout Scott's journey, he discovers other shapeshifters along the way like Lydia Martin, a banshee; Malia Tate, a werecoyote; Kira Yukimura, a kitsune; and Liam Dunbar, Scott's first beta werewolf.
