Teaser: Disney’s The Owl House Could be the Next Gravity Falls

Only very few shows manage to make an impact in pop-culture, and one of them was Alex Hirsch's Gravity Falls on Disney Channel. Sadly, Gravity Falls ended back in 2016, but Disney has dropped a new teaser for this show called The Owl House, and it could very well be the new Gravity Falls.

Here's an official description:

Luz, a self-assured teenage human girl, accidentally stumbles upon a portal to a magical new world where she befriends a rebellious witch, Eda, and an adorably tiny warrior, King. Despite not having magical abilities, Luz pursues her dream of becoming a witch by serving as Eda's apprentice at the Owl House and ultimately finds a new family in an unlikely setting.

The show already has some fantastic visuals, and you can already notice some of the signature creepy things that made Gravity Falls what it was. Even the starting image is an eye on a rectangle; what other show has a prominent character who has a singular eye and is a basic shape?

This could also just be me, but I'm getting some Rick and Morty vibes when it comes to the landscapes, but instead of sci-fi, we have influences from dark fantasy.

Also, I have to say, the animation is just so smooth compared to other new Disney shows. Sorry, DuckTales and Star vs. The Forces of Evil.

No release date has been set for Disney's The Owl House, but the show could come out sometime this year.
