Taylor Swift is not rushing to make things official with Joe Alwyn, which is just as well because her British lover is too scared to pop the question, a new report claimed.
Sources told National Enquirer, in its latest edition, that Alwyn does not want to jinx things by proposing to Swift. Speculations about the couple being engaged have been making rounds online for quite some time now, but it seems like the longstanding rumors are nothing but tittle-tattle.
An unnamed insider told the entertainment news outlet:
“Joe is madly in love with Taylor but hasn’t followed through with an actual proposal because he's worried it will jinx what they have.”

Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn reportedly like to stay under the radar and even enjoy dates in disguise. Prior to this match-up, the “Love Story” hitmaker had doomed romances with the likes of Harry Styles, Calvin Harris, Jake Gyllenhaal, Joe Jonas, and Conor Kennedy, among many others.
The same informant furthered:
“Taylor hasn’t pushed Joe as it would bring a whole new level of formality and attention to the relationship. They’re very happy and committed, but Taylor gets stressed over these rumors. To her, it’s pointless pressure and stigmatizing, not to mention nobody’s business. That’s why Joe has decided to wait until the right moment. They have both elaborated on why their relationship is so discreet and low-key. Joe assisted Taylor in composing and producing a number of songs from her “Folklore” and “Evermore” albums.
In June, an unnamed source told The Sun that Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn had become secretly engaged but were keeping details under wraps. The insider suggested that the Grammy-winning artist only wears her engagement ring at home and that her closest friends and family members have been "sworn to secrecy."

However, the pair were photographed out in London two weeks after the engagement reports made rounds online. Photos showed Taylor Swift deliberately displaying a ring-free ring finger.
Both Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn have yet to comment on the reports about them being afraid to get married. So, devoted supporters of the couple should take all these unverified claims with a huge grain of salt until everything is proven true and correct.
