Pop sensation Billie Eilish is set to showcase her acting skills in Prime Video's upcoming thriller, Swarm. The Bad Guy singer will portray some kind of hypnotist with a twisted agenda, leading her patients down a treacherous path of manipulation and danger.

The Grammy-winning artist's foray into acting is highly anticipated by fans and industry insiders alike as she takes on a new and challenging role outside of her musical career.

What is Swarm All About?

The creators of Swarm, Donald Glover and Janine Nabers, want to reexamine the idea of fans through a fast-paced, violent fictitious tale.

According to Swarm's official synopsis, the show follows Dre (Dominique Fishback), a young woman who is fixated on a fictional pop star with a fan base known as "The Swarm," which is a clear nod to Beyoncé's fan base known as the "Bey Hive," and whose body of work and aesthetic is very similar to those of the uber-popular performer.

Dre's life, her fandom, and how it leads her to unexpectedly dark places are all explored in the show. Although Glover is used to dealing with difficult issues on television, Swarm looks to be going in an entirely different path from projects that the actor has previously handled.

Swarm Trailer Shows a Hypnotic Billie Eilish

Eilish's character is shown conversing with Dre in the Swarm trailer. The singer snaps her fingers in an apparent attempt to create a trigger in the patient's mind during what looks to be a hypnosis session.

The clip also features several persons crawling across the floor after being attacked and a police officer exploring the woods, so danger is not the only thing happening there.

"Tell me something you regret," Eilish's character asks when she first emerges. The series seems to be mostly focused on taking a deep dive into Dre's thoughts.
