Superman & Lois follows the Kent family as they lay low in the quiet town where Clark Kent grew up, in Smallville, however, it seems that trouble always finds its way near heroes and it brings everyone in their family in danger.
Superman & Lois Season 3 Renewal Status
In a press release, The CW proudly announced which shows will be continuing their journey on the small screens and two Arrowverse series made it to the list: The Flash and Superman & Lois.
Both of these beloved series are expected to get another run by next year and the fans of the show couldn’t get anymore excited especially with both still airing their previous seasons.
However, with the merger of Warner Bros. Discovery, the fate of Superman & Lois having a fourth season remains in question. There is still no information yet whether the series will have a go signal for another run after Season 3 and from the looks of it, the merger has cut off DC projects outside the company.

The trailer of Superman & Lois Season 3 has just been released by The CW and it spells trouble for the whole Kent family as Lois seems to be in apprehended and taken away. It also shows the debut of the replacement of Jordan Elsas, Michael Bishop, as Jonathan Kent.
What is the Plot of Superman & Lois Season 3?
The official synopsis of Superman & Lois Season 3 is as follows:
"Clark and Lois now are working at the Smallville Gazette together and enjoying small town life. But the Kents’ romantic bliss only shines a light on how isolating “the secret” can be, as Chrissy struggles to balance a new love interest and her friendship with Lois.
However, Lois’ own work-life balance is put to the test when an undercover assignment reveals a deadly foe that promises to change the Kent family forever. Superman would move heaven and earth for his family, but with a villain this merciless, even that might not be enough.
Meanwhile, the Kent boys find themselves being pulled in opposite directions as Jordan (Alex Garfin) discovers what a superhero-identity really means and Jonathan (Michael Bishop) searches for purpose beyond the football field. Amid all this upheaval, John Henry (Wolé Parks) is haunted by his doppelgänger’s past, leading to dangerous consequences for him and Natalie (Tayler Buck). Lana Lang (Emmanuelle Chriqui) and Kyle (Erik Valdez) redefine their family post-separation, while Sarah (Inde Navarrette) explores what the future holds for her and Jordan now that she knows the truth about his powers. Having learned the hard way that no one else can be trusted to work with Superman, General Samuel Lane (Dylan Walsh) reclaims his post at the Department of Defense, only to face his own conflict in working with his grandson, Jordan."
Season 3 of Superman & Lois is expected to follow the storyline taken by the second season which is currently on the arc where the Inverse world is being open and threatened by Anderson’s cult.
Other versions of the characters come and go. The sons of Clark and Lois, Jonathan and Jordan are also dealing with their respective powers as well, whatever the source may be. The series would continue the path already being taken and would be picking up where Season 2 will be leaving.
A new villain, Bruno Mannheim, is also poised to make his debut in Superman & Lois Season 3. Bruno Mannheim is the crime boss of Intergang, also known as Ugly, the son of Moxie Mannheim. He became one of the enemies of Superman. During Pre-Crisis, he Bruno worked for the clone of Morgan Edge.
The finale of Superman & Lois Season 2 where John Henry Irons met with John Diggle at the diner in Smallville and during their confrontation, Diggle grilled Henry about Bruno Mannheim.
The conversation between Henry and Diggle hinted that Mannheim could be the very reason why the Earth version of John Henry died and the cause of death remains to be a mysterious circumstance a few years back.

Superman & Lois Season 3 Cast
For Superman & Lois Season 3, it is expected that Tyler Hoechlin will be back as Clark Kent/ Superman, Elizabeth Tulloch as Lois Lane, and Alexander Garfin as Jordan Kent.
However, the family would not be the same anymore after Jordan Elsass who plays Jonathan Kent exists the show as reported by Deadline. With the departure of Elsass, a new actor steps in as Jonathan Kent with Michael Bishop being tapped to join the series for Season 3.
Elsass broke his silence and spoke to The Wrap regarding his exit on the show, "It’s sad, it’s a real shame. I know that I was pumped for Season 3, for sure, but what are you going to do? Anyway, mental health is definitely 100-percent priority. It’s pinnacle. It’s got to take precedence."
A new cast member has been revealed during Dragon Con in The CW's "Arrow Guests: Saving Star City" panel where David Ramsey revealed that Chad Coleman, known for his roles in The Orville and The Walking Dead, will be the main villain of Superman & Lois Season 3.
It has been confirmed that Chad L. Coleman will be playing Bruno Mannheim and in an interview with Horror Geek Life via Movieweb, he already expressed his excitement to play the role and he is no stranger to DC roles after playing such in another Arrowverse series, Arrow.
Coleman said, "I have this hat on for Superman & Lois, which I'm incredibly excited about. This role encompasses everything I've ever done, and as superficial as it sounds, he's the richest and most powerful dude I've ever played. It's an amazing cast and showrunners."
