What if you can use the cool features in Super Mario Odyssey in Super Mario 64?
A team of Mario modders are trying to make that happen by rebuildin gevery level from the 1996 Nintendo 64 classic inside the world of Nintendo Switch's Super Mario Odyssey, and they're calling it Super Mario 64 Odyssey.
Fans will be able to explore the same old levels but with the awesome features of Super Mario Odyssey like using Cappy and taking possession of enemies.
YouTuber Itzka shared some gameplay footage at one of the first Super Mario 64 levels they're working on. Watch the progress demo below:
The mod team are also planning to expand some of the Super Mario 64 levels so that they can present themed challenges for new Odyssey powers and also to give them the same scale as the levels seen in the Nintendo Switch game.
The details of the levels look incredible and I can't wait to see how they would remake the other levels with the elements of Odyssey.
