Succession has been a riveting drama from the very start, and Season 4 has been no exception. The unexpected death of patriarch Logan Roy in Episode 3 set off a chain reaction of events that have kept viewers on the edge of their seats.

With the final episode of Season 4 fast approaching, fans are eagerly anticipating how the story will end. And now, composer Nicholas Britell has given us a little taste of what's to come.

90-Minute Feature-Length Succession Season 4 Finale

Variety reports that Britell has confirmed that the final episode of Succession Season 4, With Open Eyes, will be a feature-length episode. Clocking in at 90 minutes, the finale is as long as the average feature film.

According to Britell, "It's a huge episode — like a movie."

With only four episodes left to go, the drama is heating up as the Roy siblings scramble for control of Waystar Royco. In Episode 6, Kendall successfully pitches his idea for Living+, a luxury community that was originally Logan's brainchild.

The move results in a boost for Waystar's stock, much to the chagrin of Lukas Mattson, the owner of streaming company GoJo. Mattson is unable to stop Kendall's presentation, and tensions between the Roy brothers and Mattson come to a head in Episode 7 when Mattson crashes Kendall's Living+ celebration party.

As the finale approaches, it remains to be seen who will emerge as the new CEO of Waystar. Kendall and Roman have been jockeying for position, but Roman's rash decision to fire several Waystar employees, including Gerri, may have put him on thin ice. If the Board views his actions unfavorably, it could reflect poorly on Kendall as well.

A Tragic Ending?

Tragedy has always been a big part of Succession, and it's possible that none of the Roy kids will end up as CEO. Mattson may simply buy out the company, and Waystar becomes a subsidiary of GoJo. But with Kendall's Living+ pitch succeeding and things looking up for the company, there's still hope for a happy ending for the Roy family.

The final episode of Succession Season 4 promises to be an epic event that fans won't want to miss. With its feature-length runtime and high-stakes drama, it's sure to be a fitting end to one of HBO's most compelling shows.
