Stranger Things Star Hopes To Be One and Done With Series

Stranger Things began its reign on Netflix back in 2016 with its main cast Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Caleb McLaughlin, and Gaten Matarazzo practically growing up together on set. However, as the series is coming to a close with Stranger Things Season 5, the Mike Wheeler actor reveals he hopes this is the last time he spends in Hawkins.

In a new interview with GQ, Wolfhard recalls the first time Stranger Things came out on Netflix, remembering how he was “really scared” about starring in “the coolest thing ever” as a child star. Check out his full quote below:

“I look back at that time when Stranger Things first came out, and I remember how otherworldly it felt, because it felt like nothing I’d ever done,” Wolfhard admits, “I was [also] really scared, and I didn’t know that back then. I thought that it was just the coolest thing ever.”

As far as Stranger Things Season 5 goes, Wolfhard claims to know nothing about what happens to Mike and the gang yet, however, he did previously one-up the Duffer Brothers by predicting the entire plot of the finale season. When asked how he’s feeling now that Stranger Things is dawning its end, the actor only had one thing to say:

“I was stoked, actually, after I watched [Season 4],” Wolfhard said, “Like, ‘Oh, hell yeah. Let’s finish this. It’s going to be nuts to finish it. It’s going to be amazing, but it’s going to be nuts.”

The actor previously confessed that he wants to get over Stranger Things Season 5 since he wants to know the ending: “I just want to help finish it off, but not in a way of, ‘I want to be done with it.’ It’s just like, I want to know what happens. Also, to me, if Stranger Things went on any longer than five, I would say it would be ridiculous.”

Stranger Things Season 5 is expected to be released in mid-2024.
