Stranger Things Star David Harbour Teases a 'More Powerful' Hopper in Season 4 Part 2

It's almost time for Stranger Things Season 4 Part 2 and fans are already excited about the last two episodes of the current season. But what can we expect from the resident of Hawkins who somehow found themselves on a completely different continent? David Harbour is hyping up Jim Hopper's story arc by saying we'll be seeing a "more powerful" version of the character next month!

In the first seven episodes of Stranger Things Season 4, it was established that Jim Hopper survived the events in the previous season and has been taken to Russia as a prisoner. Hopper spends the entire first half of the season trying to escape with the help of the guard Dmitri Antonov while Joyce Byers and Murray Bauman rush to save them.

For now, Hopper, Dmitri, Joyce, and Murray are still stuck in Kamchatka but we could be seeing them in action again soon. David Harbour recently spoke to IndieWire where he hyped up the last two episodes, stating the showrunners the Duffer brothers have something special lined up for fans.

"It’s the race to the finish," Harbour said. "What you’re gonna see is us sprinting as hard as we can – not only are you gonna see the Duffers sprinting there cinematically in this epic, extraordinary way, but you’re gonna see all the characters [doing] more and you’re gonna have these epic action sequences."

But what can we expect for Hopper? "In terms of Hopper’s arc," Harbour continued, "you’re gonna see him be more vulnerable and more powerful than you’ve ever seen, and I’m just so excited for you. I can’t talk about it anymore."

It's an interesting tease and we can't wait to see what happens next for the series.

Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 2 will premiere on Netflix on July 1, 2022.
