It's been a while since new hero Baptiste came to Overwatch, and now Blizzard is gearing up for their archives event, Storm Rising. Check out this short teaser that they just released:
We don't really have a good grasp on what the story will be about, but I guess it will have something to do with an Omnic assassination. With the first two events covering early Overwatch and Blackwatch team-ups, I'm curious about who's going to be in the spotlight this time around. Early Talon? Hopefully, we'll get a fuller preview within the week.
I do have to say, that sleazy Omnic in the teaser looks like Maximillien, and at this point, he's appeared in so much lore that it's high time they had him as a playable character.
Based on the short clip, we could assume that this event is going to deal with an escort mission, and it will once again present to us a PvE game mode. I'm also expecting a new map to go along with it, but I wouldn't be surprised if they just reworked something we already have in the game.
Besides a new game mode, events like this also come with limited edition cosmetics. We don't really know what to expect yet, but hopefully, we get some more eye-catching legendary skins. Let's also not forget previous skins from old events will be available, and they will also be 60% cheaper this time around.
Overwatch: Storm Rising takes place April 16 and will end May 6. Overwatch is currently playable for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
