To those unaware, the new space combat video game Star Wars: Squadrons takes place just a few years before the events of The Mandalorian. And if you haven't played the new video game from Motive Studios and Electronic Arts yet, it's still safe to assume that the game is set in the same continuity as other Star Wars-related media which begs the question, could a character featured in the video game crossover to the Disney+ series' upcoming second season?

Inverse suggests that Star Wars Rebels character Hera Syndulla, who made her debut in 2014 could eventually make her way to The Mandalorian Season 2 given that the aforementioned Squadrons game is only a few years ahead of the Disney+ series. Not only that, the video game's ending indicates that Syndulla will continue to lead the Starhawk project, a new republic starship which first made its debut in Squadrons. Whether she continues it in a new game or a series still remains to be seen but one thing's for sure, we'll see more of the Starhawk project.

Of course, it's all theorizing and wishful thinking at this point but it's worth noting that Hera's fellow Rebels character Ezra Bridger is also being heavily rumored to appear in the show, possibly to join Mando and The Child's exploits in a galaxy far, far away. The confirmed appearances by Ahsoka Tano and Sabine Wren in Season 2 could also spell good things with regard to the potential arrival of Sydulla and other Rebels characters in the live-action series as they were also featured in Star Wars Rebels. Again, it's all but just a theory right now so we better wait and see what happens next.
