Before Star Wars' latest series Andor made its premiere, showrunner Tony Gilroy promised fans that the Diego Luna-led show will be unlike any other series that came before it. According to him, the Rogue One spinoff won't be fan-driven like The Mandalorian or Obi-Wan Kenobi which is why it's all the more surprising how an easter egg snuck its way into the latest episode.

Warning: if you haven't seen the fourth episode of Andor, this article contains SPOILERS so read at your own risk!

Episode 4 featured a blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment that seems to be a direct nod to a fan-favorite character who is no longer considered part of the main Star Wars canon. During a scene between Mon Mothma (Genevieve O'Reilly) and Luthen Rael (Stellan Skarsgård) where they were discussing the financial concerns facing the Rebellion, eagle-eyed viewers spotted a familiar suit of armor in the background.

The suit in question bears striking resemblance to Galen Marek's Starkiller armor from the beloved Star Wars: The Force Unleashed game. Of course, the inclusion of it in the said sequence raised a few questions because Galen has long been relegated to the Star Wars Legends category aka the non-canon universe.

However, following the said episode, a lot of fans became convinced that Disney just made Starkiller canon again.

Lucasfilm and Disney have yet to confirm whether or not the armor we saw in Episode 4 actually belongs to Galen so it's a little too early to rejoice. But the idea of Starkiller finally being brought back to the Star Wars canon is something truly exciting and I, for one, am hoping that it'll actually happen.

The latest episode of Star Wars: Andor is now streaming on Disney+.
