Now, according to a hot new rumor, the studio has found a new director for the reboot following Spider-Man: No Way Home director Jon Watts' exit. The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett director Bryce Dallas Howard is said to be the current frontrunner to take over the project from Watts who is reportedly taking a break from the superhero genre.

Reports began surfacing on Reddit about Bryce's involvement in the project and it turns out, apart from her obligations as a filmmaker, she is also said to be playing Sue Storm aka Invisible Woman alongside John Krasinski who recently made his long-awaited MCU debut as Reed Richards aka Mister Fantastic in Doctor Strange 2.

If the rumors are in fact true, it will serve as Dallas Howard's grand Marvel homecoming 15 years after she starred in Spider-Man 3 as Gwen Stacy. It will be a tough task for her though because let's face it, directing episodes of a television series is different from taking on a full-length film but hey, Bryce is no longer a newbie in the game.

As for the rumors of her playing Invisible Woman, I can totally see her pulling it off. A part of me is still rooting for Emily Blunt though.

The release date of the MCU's Fantastic Four reboot has yet to be announced.
