There's no denying that Grogu has become the poster "child" (no pun intended) of the Star Wars franchise but since his splashing debut in The Mandalorian, fans are still being kept in the dark regarding the Force-wielding creature's backstory. While the hit series has shared glimpses of Baby Yoda's origin, the franchise has yet to explore it in full.

Now, it seems like Disney+ is finally pulling the trigger (well, sort of) by giving Grogu a surprise project. On the Italian version of the streaming platform (via Star Wars News Net), it was announced that a new project titled Star Wars Zen - Grogu and Dust Bunnies will hit the service on November 12.

As it stands, key details about the surprising project remain undisclosed and we're not quite sure whether or not it's going to be a short series or film. We'd like to assume, however, that it will be somewhat similar to the I Am Groot series Marvel Studios recently released.

However, the outlet speculates that judging by the "Zen" in its title, Grogu and Dust Bunnies will be similar to one of the many ambient sounds/musical videos created to be played in the background (or be watched in little breaks) that the streaming platform has put out in the past.

In other Baby Yoda news, the beloved character will continue to be one of the focal points of the upcoming The Mandalorian Season 3 and according to the latest rumors, he'll be instrumental in reuniting the Mandalore tribe to battle an even bigger threat to the galaxy.

Meanwhile, The Mandalorian's third season will reportedly drop on February 22, 2023, exclusively on Disney+.
