Star Wars: Andor Trailer Drops First Look at Saw Gerrera's Return

The wait for Andor just got a little longer but at least we got the new trailer for the upcoming Star Wars series and it brings back a familiar face. The new teaser for the Disney+ show drops our first look at returning character Saw Gerrera and it looks like he's got a new friend!

The new Andor trailer is an action-packed preview of what we could expect in the highly anticipated Star Wars series. We get to see Cassian Andor disguising himself as an Imperial officer, something that he previously did in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (although the film takes place much later after the events of the show). In addition to that, the trailer confirms the return of Forest Whitaker as Saw Gerrera who gets a visit from Stellan Skarsgard's Luthen.

At this point, we're not really sure what is happening here but it looks like Luthen is working at forging an alliance with Saw Gerrera. We're hoping that it all works out and nobody betrays anyone but since this is Star Wars, anything can happen. Still, we're pretty sure that Saw will survive the events of the show.

Saw Gerrera first appeared in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels before eventually debuting in the live-action film Rogue One. He also shows up in Star Wars: The Bad Batch and even makes an appearance in the video game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Whitaker portrayed the character in both live-action outings and provided his voice in Rebels and Fallen Order. Andrew Kishino serves as Saw's voice actor in The Clone Wars and The Bad Batch.

Andor was originally set for release on August 31, 2022. However, the new trailer confirms that the series is being pushed back and the three-episode premiere is now set for September 21, 2022.
