Star Wars: Ahsoka Will NOT Include Fan-Favorite Character's Return

The Mandalorian Season 3 may have just recently begun, and yet Star Wars fans are already expecting for the series to eventually bridge over to Disney’s live-action show of Ahsoka. Starring Rosario Dawson for the titular role, it is expected to see a few more fan-favorite Rebels characters be included, as well. However, one of The Mandalorian’s fan-favorite characters might not be joining the jump to the live-action series.

Katee Sackhoff, who portrays Bo-Katan Kryze, may have been a part of the cast members on The Mandalorian, but her recent interview on whether she’s going to star in Ahsoka reveals a discouraging update.

“[Laughs] I can’t reveal anything.” Sakchoff told Deadline in a recent interview for The Mandalorian, “But no, as of right now, I’m not in Ahsoka.”

It is unclear as to why Disney’s Ahsoka won’t be including Bo-Katan considering that she’s pivotal in ensuring Ahsoka Tano would be able to potentially lead their people through the power of owning the darksaber.

However, this spells trouble for the Ahsoka series, seeing as Bo-Katan is one of the few characters highly anticipated in reprising her role. Not to mention, Sackhoff’s performance in both the animated show and in The Mandalorian.

However, it is possible that, much like how Marvel Studios keeps their Multiverse Saga slate under wraps, Katee Sakchoff is most likely keeping her appearance a secret through a non-disclosure agreement with Lucasfilm. Perhaps the early episodes won’t necessarily include Bo-Katan, but only in the later episodes.

Considering how Bo-Katan has been keeping in touch with Ahsoka Tano is canon in The Mandalorian, it’s nearly impossible to not include the character in the live-action series. Ahsoka, after all, is within the Mandoverse.

There is a possibility of changing things up, especially since the series has yet to be released and Bo-Katan’s absence confirmed by Lucasfilm and Disney, so hopefully, they eventually include her in the series.

Ahsoka is currently slated to debut on Disney+ later this year.
