Spider-Man: No Way Home Producer Reveals Character's MCU Future

The anticipation for Spider-Man: No Way Home has been through-the-roof especially with the appearances of the past Spider-Man villains and the rumors that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield will show up. There were also reports that different ticketing sites crashed when tickets went on sale last night and there are forecasts that it will break the pandemic box office records.

There are also fans who are wondering if No Way Home will be Tom Holland's last movie as Spider-Man in the MCU as some have presumed that he will head to Sony's Spider-Verse by the end of the film. Now, we finally have an answer that will definitely delight the fans.

During a recent interview with Fandango, Spider-Man: No Way Home producer Amy Pascal revealed that Marvel Studios and Sony will continue to collaborate on making more Spider-Man films after No Way Home, with Tom Holland still remaining to play Spider-Man. Furthermore, she also confirmed that they are getting ready on making another trilogy with the character.

She said, "This is not the last movie that we are going to make with Marvel – [this is not] the last Spider-Man movie. We are getting ready to make the next Spider-Man movie with Tom Holland and Marvel, it just isn't part of… we're thinking of this as three films, and now we're going to go onto the next three. This is not the last of our MCU movies." When asked if the collaboration between the studios will indeed continue, she confirmed, "Yes, Marvel and Sony are going to keep going together as partners."

There you go, Tom Holland's Spider-Man is staying in the MCU and will star in another new trilogy. It is definitely good news for fans who have been concerned that the character might be leaving the MCU by the end of No Way Home. It is also a confirmation that Spider-Man will have a future in the MCU despite the existence of Sony's Spider-Verse. However, it remains unknown if those two universes will co-exist in some way in the near future.

This news comes just after the announcement by Marvel Studios recently that they are working on an upcoming animated series titled Spider-Man: Freshman Year where we will see Peter Parker's earlier days as Spider-Man in the MCU before Tony Stark recruited him in Captain America: Civil War.

Fans are now relieved knowing that Spider-Man will remain in the MCU. Of course, it still poses a question: What will happen to Spider-Man at the end, and what his next arc will be? Also, are Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield actually in it? We will find out soon enough.
