One of the best things about Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse was the reunion between Miles Morales and Gwen Stacy. That also meant that Shameik Moore and Hailee Steinfeld got to work together again and the former gushed about his Into the Spider-Verse co-star.
Shameik Moore Gushes About Working With Hailee Steinfeld on Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse
Shameik Moore and Hailee Steinfeld first worked together in 2018's Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. However, they only managed to record their lines together in Across the Spider-Verse and Moore said it made work even more fun.
“We did a lot of work together on it and working with Hailee is just so easy,” he told GamesRadar. “She loves to laugh but is also very professional, being a lot like Gwen as she’s playful but she ain’t to be played with.”
“It’s inspiring to work with someone like that,” he continued, revealing the similarities between himself and Miles when it comes to Steinfeld and Gwen.
“You know, it’s just like how Miles is with Gwen,” Moore said. “Hailee just did a billion streams on one of her records [Let Me Go] which is so inspiring to me, which is like Gwen popping up with a watch from another dimension, impressing Miles.”
“It’s the definition of anyone can wear the mask, it just takes that leap of faith. Seeing those parallels between Hailee and myself has been quite the honor,” he added.
It's great to know that Shameik Moore genuinely admires Hailee Steinfeld and that the two had fun working on Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse together. Needless to say, we are already looking forward to Miles Morales reuniting with Spider-Gwen in Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse next year.
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is now screening in theaters worldwide. Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse is scheduled to premiere on March 29, 2024.
