There is little doubt that all the characters in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse had their share of memorable lines. However, Miguel O'Hara truly nailed it when he dropped an epic diss on the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

In Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Miles Morales was finally brought to the Spider Society headquarters where he met Miguel O'Hara. Spider-Man 2099 didn't waste time listing down all the things Miles had done to the Spider-Verse.

"Don't even get me started on Doctor Strange and that little nerd on Earth-199999," Miguel added.

It's a clear reference to what happened in Spider-Man: No Way Home and although it was great that an MCU character was mentioned, it was also very much a diss.

So did Marvel Studios know that the Sorcerer Supreme would be referenced in Across The Spider-Verse? Producers Chris Miller and Phil Lord told Rolling Stone that they didn't feel the need to alert Kevin Feige about the dialogue.

"There was no negotiation. We did it," Miller said.

"It’s been our policy to do what we think is interesting and best and let the lawyers and business affairs people figure out what’s possible, and so far we’ve been able to do the things that we think are good," he added.

It's awesome to know that Miller and Lord made sure that the live-action Spider-Man would be referenced in Across the Spider-Verse. In addition to that, the film also made it clear that the Spider Society is well aware of Doctor Strange's role in what happened in the movie.

Miguel O'Hara first appeared in the post-credits scenes for 2018's Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Oscar Isaac provided the voice of Spider-Man 2099 in the first film and he returned for the sequel.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is now screening in theaters worldwide.
