South Park: The Streaming Wars Drops Epic Official Trailer

As South Park comes back in the spotlight after securing almost a billion dollar contract deal, the classic comedy series is gettings its third movie under Paramount+ titled as “The Streaming Wars,” and it just dropped an epic official trailer which is, albeit short, enough to tease the viewers of what is to come.

The third movie of South Park under Paramount+ is finally coming to the streaming service and they announced the date to save for The Streaming Wars on June 1. A synopsis for the film was also revealed, "Cartman locks horns with his mom in a battle of wills while an epic conflict unfolds that threatens South Park's very existence."

The first look for the upcoming movie is just a short 15-minute clip with Cartman’s frustration with his mother beside him. Just him, whining there with his mother is already epic and hilarious, so, what more can anyone expect in the movie, right? It would be another great one for laughs.

South Park: The Streaming Wars will be the third movie of the comedy classic on Paramount+ following the two films in 2021 which are South Park: Post-COVID and South Park: Post-COVID: The Return of COVID. The film is expected to surround the ongoing streaming wars which is quite ironic considering that it will be released on a streaming service.

Before Paramount+ was launched, the parent company of the streaming service used to sell their streaming rights to Warner Media under HBO Max so their shows would be out there. Because they ordered South Park films, the classic comedy was able to return to the spotlight with their content to be streamed on Paramount+.

While the whole catalog of South Park would not come out on the platform until 2025, two and a half years from today, these films would hopefully suffice the people’s thirst for laughter from the title.

South Park: The Streaming Wars will be streaming exclusively via Paramount+ on June 1, 2022.
