Sony announces that the PlayStation 5 reveal event has been officially delayed.

The PS5 event was originally set for June 4th, the presentation was expected to last an hour and was intended to showcase new games along with the first gameplay from Sony's newest console. Unfortunately, the company has delayed the event indefinitely.

The PlayStation official Twitter account notes that while they understand the gamers' excitement for the upcoming PS5 games, they think this is not the "right" time for a celebration. There were no specific reasons stated, but the last statement speaks for itself. "We want to stand back and allow more important voices to be heard," it reads. You can check out the post below.

The PS5 event was set to launch the new console along with a first look at the games to be played. PlayStation boss Jim Ryan even teased in the announcement that following the showcase, there is still plenty to be shared with the players.

As exciting as it is to finally see the PS5 games, Sony and PlayStation's stand and decision to postpone the event amidst the situation right now is completely understandable. With a big event like this that has many players anticipating, the company's consideration is very much appreciated.
