Sonic the Hedgehog Now has a Higher Rotten Tomatoes Score than The Rise of Skywalker

Sonic the Hedgehog had come out last weekend, and though there were mixed reviews from the critics, it looks like the general audiences have loved the film. What's funny is that, this adaptation of a video game character has somehow surpassed the critics and audience score of one of the biggest films of 2019.

As per Rotten Tomatoes,Sonic the Hedgehog has now earned a higher critics and audience score than Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Check it out:

As of now, Sonic is sitting on a 65% Critical Score with a 90% Audience Score with TROS now at 52% and 86% respectively. Of course the scores are subject to change when it comes to Sonic, but I think the numbers for TROS are kind of solid, seeing that the movie had been out for a while.

It's no mystery that The Rise of Skywalker had ended up being such a letdown, but who could've thought a movie that originally had a terrible reception would be better received. If anything, Paramount has earned some solid brownie points with audiences by changing the design of Sonic after complaints; not to mention they did so by not overworking artists to catch up to a deadline.

Sonic tries to navigate the complexities of life on Earth with his newfound best friend -- a human named Tom Wachowski. They must soon join forces to prevent the evil Dr. Robotnik from capturing Sonic and using his powers for world domination.
