Sonic the Hedgehog May Have Been Delayed Again

Paramount's Sonic the Hedgehog trailer was not well-received when it came out; in fact, everyone hated it and everyone involved promised that the character would be getting a redesign. This led to a delay in the movie's release, from this November to next Valentine's Day. Well, it turns out that the film might be receiving another delay on top of that as fans have noticed a change in release date when checking the film's Twitter account.

Apparently, the film went from a February 14, 2020 release to a more vague March 2020. Although there are fan accounts of the official Twitter account switching to a March release, if you check it now, the release date remains in February. They even updated the banner to show that the film will be released in February, instead of the very dated November that was there for a few months.

Right now, we're waiting for more concrete details and maybe a new trailer that reveals the new character design. Rumor has it that Tyson Hesse of Sonic Mania fame will be helping out with the new design but nothing concrete has shown proof of that, though we will probably get more new details sooner or later.

Unless an official statement is released, Sonic the Hedgehog is still scheduled for a February 14, 2020 release. We'll wait and see if the film will come out in March.
