Sonic the Hedgehog Fanart Imagines Jim Carrey as Dr. Robotnik

The Sonic the Hedgehog movie is set to come out this year, but the only official look we have for the film is a weird silhouette of Sonic. Jim Carrey has been cast as Dr. Robotnik a.k.a. Dr. Eggman in the movie and some fanart imagines what he would look like until we get an official photo.

I have to say, it's actually a pretty good look for the character. With Carrey being known best for his facial expressions, it would be best to use a lot of his natural face. Here we just have him bald with a mustache and some shades. It's just a few things, but you can already tell that it's Robotnik with one look. I'm curious what the rest of the costume is supposed to look like.

While there have been a lot of negative reactions to the official leaked poster for Sonic the Hedgehog, some concept art has shown that ‘real' Sonic actually looks pretty good. I just have no idea which person in the marketing team thought that teasing that silhouette would be the best way to announce the movie. They should have just given us a poster with the full look of Sonic already; instead, fans are just left to poke fun at what Sonic could look like with the officially released image.

A cop in the rural town of Green Hills will help Sonic escape from the government who is looking to capture him.

Sonic the Hedgehog hits theaters Nov. 8.
