Sister Wives Season 16 just premiered and it showed the conflict and drama in the Brown family. Apparently, the first episode showed how unhappy Christine Brown is with her marriage to Kody Brown. His first wife, Meri Brown, gave Christine and advice that may have sealed the deal about her plans with regards to her future with the polygamous patriarch.

Sister Wives Season 16 Shock: Meri Brown Advised Christine Not To Walk Away

Christine didn't feel her marriage with Kody had a future. An emotional Christine spoke with Meri about it, saying she couldn't "do marriage with Kody anymore." Meri encouraged Christine not to walk away from her and Kody's union.

"You didn't put 30 years into this — 25, 28, wherever you are — to walk away," Meri was quoted by People as saying. "I didn't put 30 years in to walk away."

Apparently, Christine didn't listen because earlier this month, she and Kody announced their separation after being together for 25 years earlier this month. However, Meri's advice may have reflected her own stand about her marriage to Kody.

There were rumors that she would be the next wife to leave Kody after Christine. But Meri's words were clear, she didn't want to waste the decades she spent with Kody just to walk away from him in the end.

Sister Wives Season 16 Revelation: Christine Brown And Kids Do Not Want To Live In Arizona

The tension between Christine Brown and Kody Brown was apparent in Sister Wives Season 16. However, the biggest issue on Sunday's episode was that Christine didn't want to move to Arizona. While they explored the family lot in Arizona and planned their individual houses, Christine wasn't as excited.

Christine and Kody share six children — Paedon, 23, and daughters Aspyn, 26, Mykelti, 25, Gwendlyn, 20, Ysabel, 18, and Truely, 11. And all of their children felt the same about their move to Arizona, according to Christine.

She and her kids wanted their life back in Utah.

"None of my kids are going to stay in Flagstaff. They've all expressed no desire to live here whatsoever," Christine told the cameras. "They're all going to settle in Utah, ironically enough."

Christine added that she thought the fur houses would be close to each other. However, Kody planned to have five houses — one for each of his four sister wives — Meri, Christine, Janelle and Robyn — and one for him. He assured everyone that his house would be accessible to everyone. Christine didn't like the arrangement.

"It just sounds really separate and I think it's kind of sad, to be honest, you know? But I am just not interested anymore," she said.

Christine sold her property in Arizona and flew back to Utah before confirming her split from Kody.
