She-Hulk's Tim Roth Teases Tatiana Maslany's 'Jaw-Dropping' Performance

2022 is a big year for Marvel Cinematic Studios and its new streaming service Disney+. With Moon Knight taking the spotlight as the first Disney+ series slated for this year, another addition to its cache of Disney+ shows is Tatiana Maslany's upcoming She-Hulk, rumored to release in Fall 2022.

She-Hulk will be Maslany's introduction as Jennifer Walters to the MCU as Mark Ruffalo's Hulk protege. Aside from being a preeminent lawyer, the main factor that she will showcase in the show is her size and strength as the female counterpart of Hulk, She-Hulk. Alongside Maslany, she will be joined by two MCU veterans, Mark Ruffalo's Bruce Banner and Tim Roth's Emil Blonsky or Abomination.

Although there's not much much information yet about the upcoming Hulk-centric series, Tim Roth recently spoke to ET Canada about what to expect with the She-Hulk series.

When asked if his family will watch the show, Roth responded, "No, I don’t know if my family won’t watch it. I don’t know it’s a tricky one it was so it was a lot of fun and so it is tempting to dip in and go ‘oh god I remember that day that’s absurd.’ um it’s quite the wild ride but I don’t know I’ll face that when I come to it I suppose I don’t know."

Roth also recalled his time working with the lead star Tatiana Maslany, describing Maslany's performance as jaw-dropping:

"She’s amazing. It’s actually jaw-dropping. Yeah, you know what, just watching it just on a day-to-day level, and sometimes a dialogue lands, just on that level, and her ability to absorb and then perform was quite remarkable. And she’s funny. One of the signs of a good actor is their comedic touch and she has it."

Now that some of our favorite superheroes have retired, it's the right time for Marvel to introduce some new additions to the MCU roster. Starting with Teyonah Parris' Monica Rambeau in WandaVision, Hailee Steinfield in Hawkeye, and Oscar Isaac's Moon Knight. Tatiana Maslany will certainly be an interesting addition, especially with the character's connection to one of the MCU's anchors, Bruce Banner.

Now that Tatiana Maslany is set to join the MCU as She-Hulk, fans are really excited to see the female version of Bruce Banner's Hulk. Considering that She-Hulk may center more on comedy than any Marvel projects, Roth's comment about Maslany must assure the fans that the upcoming Disney+ series deserves the anticipation.

She-Hulk will be streaming sometime in 2022, on Disney+.
