The sexy series first premiered in June 2021 with eight episodes, and it became one of the most-talked-about shows, mostly thanks to a naughty viral scene. Sex/Life held strong in the streaming giant's top 10 charts , and being viewed by more than 67 million households within the first month of its premiere, which makes it one of the most watched TV shows in Netflix history.

Thanks to its massive success, Sex/Life has been renewed for a second season in September 2021, but will Billie and her lovers return by the end of this year?

No, but it's expected to arrive later this year. According to the Canadians Director Guild, Sex/Life Season 2 has been in pre-production since November 2021 in Ontario, Canada, and Production Weekly issue #1276 reported that filming is scheduled to begin on February 7, 2022. Filming will continue for several weeks before wrapping it up on April 25, 2022.

Sex/Life Season 1 started filming on August 31, 2020, and ended in December 2020, but the episodes didn't premiere on Netflix until June 2021. That's a six-month gap between the end of production and release, so it's likely that could happen once again for the second season. Unless post-production is able to wrap up in less than 6 months, it's likely that Season 2 won't be released by the end of 2022.

However there's a chance that Sex/Life Season 2 could arrive in early 2023.

According to the list of movies and TV shows coming to Netflix in November 2022, Sex/Life Season 2 will not be released in November 2022.

However, Netflix probably won't wait too long to release the new episodes of one of the digital platform's biggest hits, so there's a good chance the release of Season 2 will be expedited.

In Feb. 2022, it was reported that principal photography is set to begin on Feb. 7 and end on April 25. Stacy Rukeyser, one of the show's executive producers, took it to Instagram to share a photo of herself and her husband during their date night, and its caption reveals that she's heading to Toronto in a week. Even though she didn't mention that she was heading to Toronto, it's known that it's the location of Sex/Life's production.

It looks like filming for Sex/Life's new season recently wrapped. On April 28, Meghan Heffern, who plays Caroline in the steamy drama, shared an Instagram video with a caption revealing that it was her last day on the set, so it's likely that Season 2 finished production in early May 2022, which means that the show is likey in post-production stage, which could take a few months to complete.

There's probably a good chance that Sex/Life Season 2 will debut on Netflix by the end of 2022, but we'll have to wait for the streaming giant officially announce its release date.

Sex/Life Season 2 might be shorter than the first season. According to the official Toronto Business website's current production news, the series was listed as filming 6 episodes rather than eight episodes.

Losing two full episodes would be a significant change, but there's no need to panic. If the series only needs six episodes to make its story complete, that's probably for the best. There's no need to drag this out.
