Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew have been divorced for over two decades, but the exes still live together at the Royal Lodge.
Their setup inside the property remains unknown, but it’s entirely possible for the exes to still be staying in the same bedroom, especially now that their daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, are no longer around.
Sarah Ferguson Worried About Losing The Royal Lodge
New Idea, in its Jan. 31 issue, claimed that Sarah Ferguson’s days at the Royal Lodge could be numbered, and it’s all because of Prince Charles. An unnamed source claimed that the Duchess of York has been flying under the radar for years, but Prince Andrew’s lawsuit once again brought her to the limelight.
“Fergie is starting to panic that her head is on the chopping block. The queen likes Sarah and has always turned a blind eye to her unorthodox living arrangement with Andrew. But when Charles is the head honcho, and with Andrew in his crosshairs, Fergie worries she won’t be able to fly under the radar anymore,” the unnamed source said.
Sarah Ferguson Could Beg Prince Charles Not To Kick Her Out
The unnamed source added that there are rumors Prince Charles and Prince William were the ones that convinced the queen to strip Prince Andrew of his HRH and military titles. So, they could do the same when it comes to Ferguson and the Royal Lodge.
“She’s worked hard to get back in the family’s good graces and she wants to stay there. If rumors of kicking her out get any stronger, she’ll have no shame in pleading her case directly to Charles,” the unnamed source said.
But the unnamed insider insisted that Ferguson’s chances of keeping the Royal Lodge are slim. After all, the royal family has already turned their backs on Prince Andrew, and they can easily do the same to her.
“Prince Andrew basically cried and begged for mercy, but the decision was made. The queen was a little emotional herself, especially when she spoke to him about what his father would have said and done if he were alive to see this. It’s a sorry state of affairs,” the unnamed source concluded.

Sarah Ferguson, Prince Andrew Live Together At The Royal Lodge
Years ago, Ferguson dubbed herself and Prince Andrew as the happiest divorced couple in the world. And this could be the reason why there’s no awkwardness between the two to live in the same house together.
“Andrew and I, we’re the happiest divorced couple in the world – extraordinary, really, isn’t it. We live in the same house, but then, it’s a big house, so that’s ok. But I think it’s really good that we believe in compromise and communication and compassion. And family,” Ferguson said.
Three years later, Ferguson said that Yorks are a united family, and this could be another reason why the exes still live together.
“Although we are not a couple, we really believe in each other. The Yorks are a united family. We’ve shown it. You saw it at the [royal] wedding. We stand up for each other, fight for each other. We’re totally respectful of each other’s position and thoughts and we listen to each other… And we sit around the table and have afternoon tea together. It’s a very important part of our lives,” she said.
Since the queen allowed Fergie to live at the Royal Lodge even after her divorce from Prince Andrew, there’s no reason for her to be kicked out of the property now that her ex-husband is dealing with his lawsuit. After all, Ferguson doesn’t have anything to do with the Duke of York’s sexual abuse case.
