Rogue One: A Star Wars Story has consistently been on the radar despite the film being released seven years ago and that's all thanks to the standalone Andor show. Just recently, however, the beloved Star Wars flick became a hot topic online after Freddie Prinze Jr. claimed that Dave Filoni had a hand at the film's ending sequence featuring Darth Vader.

During the closing moments of the 2016 film, the Sith Lord unleashed his fury on a group of Rebels who were attempting to flee Scarif with the Death Star plans. According to the voice of Kanan Jarrus, The Mandalorian showrunner actually directed the now-iconic scene or did he really?

Now, it appears that Filoni wasn't involved in directing Vader's Rogue One onslaught. Gary Whitta, who's credited as one of the writers who came up with Rogue One's story recently took to Twitter to refute Prinze Jr.'s claims. Sharing a now-deleted report about the actor's "revelation", the screenwriter said it's untrue and demands an apology from the Star Wars Rebels voice actor.

Whitta wrote: "Completely false. This needs to be retracted and an apology issued." Check out the tweet below:

To be fair, there's a good chance that Prinze misheard some information about that Vader scene and Filoni might have actually been involved in the sequence's creative process, not just the actual direction of it. As it stands, the actor has yet to take back his claims or even apologize for spreading his own piece of information that was apparently unverified.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is available to stream on Disney+. Meanwhile, the second season of Andor is currently in production.
