It has been a long time since we got any updates on the upcoming live-action Resident Evil film. Luckily, we now have the first images from the reboot titled Welcome to Raccoon City and it introduces the new Leon S. Kennedy, Claire Redfield, Jill Valentine, and more.

The first photos from Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City were shared by IGN. Let's start off with the image featuring Avan Jogia as Leon and Kaya Scodelario as Claire. In the photo, Leon is still wearing a police uniform which suggests he is still working as a police officer in the movie. Check it out below.

Director Johannes Roberts confirmed that they had a hard time casting Leon in the film but ultimately hit the jackpot with Jogia. "We must have seen so many people - it was really quite a tricky role because of the balance of humor and weariness. Then Avan read and I was like he's the one! He gets it," Roberts said.

We also got our first glimpse at Albert Wesker (Tom Hopper), Richard Aiken (Chad Rook), Jill Valentine (Hannah John-Kamen), and Chris Redfield (Robbie Amell). The group is shown in the Spencer Mansion which makes for a tense photo.

The third image puts the focus on one of the games' overlooked characters. It features Lisa Trevor played by Marina Mazepa. In the games, Lisa is a teenager who mysteriously disappears and is later revealed to have been experimented on by Umbrella scientists. She was exposed to multiple viruses that led to her mutated appearance.
