Resident Evil 3 Remake Won't Feature Multiple Endings

Resident Evil 3 Remake looks to be a mostly faithful remake of the PlayStation classic, detailing Jill Valentine's continued battle against Umbrella. While the general plotline is still the same, it seems like Capcom has made a number of changes since they told Official PlayStation Magazine (via Reddit) that the remake would not have alternate endings, unlike the original game.

This is going to come off as a shock to many since the original came could end in a number of ways. Who will operate the helicopter? Will it drop the missile launcher? Is Nicholai going to live or die? These used to be up to the player but now that there will be a more linear ending, fans are going to be interested in the changes made.

Aside from the lack of multiple endings, Resident Evil 3 Remake will also remove the fan-favorite Mercenaries mode. This might disappoint some since it has become a big series staple but when you consider how they're including Resident Evil: Resistance, a 4-on-1 multiplayer game in a similar style to Dead by Daylight, this is an okay sacrifice.

With no delays planned, it looks like Resident Evil 3 Remake is going to be another big hit from Capcom. The game is currently scheduled for an April 3 release on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
