During PlayStation's State of Play, we finally got the Resident Evil 3 Remake release date that we've all been wanting after the major leak that happened last week. While it was no longer a surprise, seeing actual footage of the game and knowing when it's going to come out is still huge news and has a lot of people excited. Considering how good Resident Evil 2 was, even getting a Game of the Year nomination for Thursday's Game Awards, this should be another excellent title for us to play.

We now know that Resident Evil 3 will be arriving on April 3, 2020 and if you pre-order the game, you'll get the classic costumes for Jill and Carlos. As if that wasn't convincing enough, the previously revealed Project Resistance multiplayer title has officially been called Resident Evil Resistance and is going to be a part of the game.

This is very good news since you're basically getting two games in one. Since Capcom is known for giving us decent-length single-player campaigns with plenty of replayability, adding some multiplayer incentive will definitely get fans talking. Most of us were a bit sad to see Resident Evil Resistance be so similar to Dead by Daylight but the fact that it's a part of Resident Evil 3 makes that sting a little less.

Resident Evil 3 Remake will be coming to PS4 and Xbox One on April 3, 2020.
