Reality television star Dorit Kemsley has now opened up about her harrowing home invasion experience, where she said she had to beg for her life. Kemsley was the victim of a home invasion less than two weeks ago - she was alone with her kids during that time.

During an interview with her “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” co-star Teddi Mellencamp, Kemsley detailed how she thought she was going to die after one of the burglars had threatened to kill her. Kemsley said she was completely “taken off guard” when she bumped into one of the men that had broken into her home.

Begging For Her Life And Her Children’s Lives

The 45-year-old mom of two said one of the men asked her who else was in the house. Another man then told the other to “just kill her” before she alerted anyone else or called the police. Kemsley said all she could think about was her children, 5-year-old Phoenix and 7-year-old Jagger, who were sleeping in their rooms at the time.

The Beverly Beach designer shares the two children with her husband Paul “PK” Kemsley, who was on a trip to London when the break-in happened. Kemsley said she begged the men for her life and the lives of her children. She then told them to take anything they wanted from the house and not to hurt her kids.

“I said, ‘I don’t care about any of it, take it all. You can have it all. Please, I’m a mother of babies. Please, they need me. Please don’t hurt me,’” Kemsley recalled.

Throughout the ordeal, Kemsley said she tried to remain as calm as possible so the intruders wouldn’t become agitated. She added that if she had panicked, she was sure that the situation would have gotten a lot worse.

Kemsley said she was very thankful that her two children didn’t wake up despite all the commotion. She added that she got “lucky” that none of them got hurt and that her kids didn’t have to experience any trauma from what had happened.

Earlier in the week, the Los Angeles Police Department had released CCTV footage of the break-in. The two men had broken into her home through a sliding glass window on the ground level. The footage showed two masked men exiting Kemsley’s home carrying items wrapped in sheets.

Police refused to confirm reports that Kemsley was being held at gunpoint or if the men were armed during the incident. Kemsley also did not say if the men were armed.
