R-Type Final 2 is Announced and Fans Think It's an April Fool's Joke

So, in a bit of news that has dumbfounded the internet, Granzella Inc has announced R-Type Final 2, the first new R-Type game in a decade. The problem is that this game was announced on April 1, which is leading everyone to believe that this is an elaborate April Fool's joke. It's weird because there's a website with screenshots and links to fund this via a crowdfunding campaign, which adds some legitimacy.

Fans want to believe this but are embracing themselves for the worst. After all, there have been some companies that would go out of their way to make a prank like this. Honestly, it's too hard to believe but fans are hoping that it's true, which it very well could be.

While there have been re-releases of older games, we haven't seen a new R-Type game since, well, the first R-Type Final on the PlayStation 2. That was supposed to be the final game but now we have R-Type Final 2, which sounds like an April Fool's game. However, with so much evidence, it really seems like this will be a legitimate game.

Currently, the only system R-Type Final 2 is listed for is the PlayStation 4. We could get more systems via the crowd-funding campaign, so let's hope for a Switch release.
