Where Will Queen Elizabeth Be Buried?

Queen Elizabeth will be buried together with his late parents, King George VI, and the Queen Mother at Windsor Castle’s King George VI Memorial Chapel.

According to Page Six, Prince Philip’s remains will also be moved to the same burial spot so that he would be with the queen.

Other than the queen, her parents, and Prince Philip, the late monarch’s sister Princess Margaret’s remains are also buried in the same spot.

When Will Queen Elizabeth Be Buried?

Queen Elizabeth’s burial will take place after a state funeral at Westminster Abbey. And it will be attended by dignitaries and heads of state across the globe.

According to ABC News, the burial will happen 10 days following her death. This means that she will be laid to rest sometime on Sept. 18.

Royal fans may be allowed to pay their respects to the queen in a public memorial that will be held in a few days. After her death was announced to the world, thousands of people flocked outside Buckingham Palace to pay their last respects to the longest-serving monarch in British history.

Some of them even brought flowers and photos of the queen to remember her by. And more people will continue to flock to Buckingham Palace in the coming days.

Who Was With Queen Elizabeth When She Passed Away?

Queen Elizabeth died peacefully in Balmoral. With her were King Charles III and Camilla Parker-Bowles, who is now styled as Queen Consort.

The royal couple will stay in Balmoral until today, and they will return to London the next day.

Prince William and Prince Andrew were photographed on their way to Balmoral hours before the queen’s passing. And Prince Harry was also spotted arriving at the queen’s summer home hours after her death.

According to People, Prince Edward and his wife, Sophie, Countess of Wessex also flew to Scotland to be with Her Majesty after a statement was released regarding concerns over the queen’s health.

“Following further evaluation this morning, The Queen's doctors are concerned for Her Majesty's health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision. The queen remains comfortable and at Balmoral,” the initial statement read.

The royal family also released a second statement announcing the queen’s passing hours later.
