Queen Elizabeth officially returned to work on Tuesday following her battle with COVID-19. Her Majesty’s virtual appearance also took place just days after Prince Charles gave a rare health update about the monarch.

Before the queen returned to work earlier this week, there were rumors that her health is failing, especially since she was already 95 years old. But the monarch proved everyone wrong when she returned to her job.

On Sunday, Prince Charles told royal fans that his mother was doing a lot better. The heir to the throne also confirmed that Her Majesty only suffered minor symptoms.

At the time, the queen already held two virtual audiences at Windsor Castle. And she also managed to speak to diplomats that visited Buckingham Palace this week.

Queen Elizabeth proved that she is, indeed, a force to be reckoned with.

Queen Elizabeth Health Rumors Debunked

Last week, multiple publications claimed that the royal family feared for the queen’s health after she tested positive for COVID-19.

OK! magazine, in its March 7 issue, claimed that the royal family privately discussed their plans if the queen’s health would continue to deteriorate.

“Everyone in the family is praying that Her Majesty is going to be okay. But there are worries that she may have been exposed at the worst possible time. There is mounting distress that her immune system might not be able to stand up to the virus. It’s a terrifying time,” an unnamed source said.

But the publication’s claims were proven to be incorrect because the queen is healthy and doing well.

Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee Plans

In fact, the monarch is also busy preparing for her upcoming Platinum Jubilee in June.

On the royal family’s website, it was revealed that the queen’s Platinum Jubilee will commence on June 5 with a four-day bank holiday. These four days would feature public events and community activities.

There will also be national moments of reflection to commemorate the queen’s 70 years of service.

Initiatives such as the Platinum Pudding competition and the Queen’s Green Canopy will also take place during the festivities.

On June 2, the queen’s Trooping the Colour will also take place. The parade will start at Buckingham Palace and will be viewed by the members of the royal family from the balcony of the property.

Platinum Jubilee beacons will also be lit in the capital cities of the Commonwealth countries to celebrate the queen’s Platinum Jubilee. But the principal beacon will be lit in a special ceremony at Buckingham Palace.
