Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice snubbed Queen Elizabeth II when they decided to skip celebrating Christmas with her for a wedding, a report says. The move sparked mixed responses, with some questioning their loyalty to Her Majesty.

Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice Skipped Kate Middleton's First Christmas With Queen Elizabeth II

The members of the royal family usually gather together in Sandringham to spend the holidays with the Queen. However, in 2011, the two Princesses of York decided to spend Christmas somewhere else to attend a wedding.

Prince Andrew's two daughters were not present when Kate Middleton had her first Christmas with the royal family. Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie allegedly traveled to the Caribbean to attend the wedding of Richard Branson's daughter, Holly Branson, who is a good friend of theirs.

According to a report by Daily Mirror, as per Express, the princesses made a tactical error because their decision to spend the holidays was allegedly evidence of "divided loyalty."

While they were away, Camilla Parker Bowles was finding her feet in the firm. The Duchess of Cornwall allegedly became a crucial member of the royal family that even Middleton turned to her for advice.

"She has become the linchpin of the Windsors. Kate also goes to her for advice," an unnamed source said.

Kate Middleton Admitted She Was Worried About First Christmas With The Queen

The Duchess of Cambridge shared her first Christmas with the Queen in the 2016 ITV documentary Our Queen at Ninety. Middleton said that she didn't know what to give to the Queen at the time.

"I can remember being at Sandringham, for the first time, at Christmas. And I was worried what to give the Queen as her Christmas present. I was thinking, 'Gosh, what should I give her?'" Middleton said per Hello! Magazine.

Middleton wanted to make something for the Queen. However, she was concerned that it could go "horribly wrong." Nevertheless, she decided to make her grandmother's chutney recipe for the Queen.

"I was slightly worried about it, but I noticed the next day that it was on the table. I think such a simple gesture went such a long way for me and I've noticed since she's done that on lots of occasions and I think it just shows her thoughtfulness, really, and her care in looking after everybody," she continued.
