But in the book Camilla: From Outcast to Queen Consort, royal biographer Angela Levin claimed that not all of Queen Consort Camilla's efforts toward Meghan Markle were accepted by the Duchess of Sussex.
Levin spoke with Lucia Santa Cruz, who previously joined Prince Harry and Markle for lunch at Highgrove after King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla invited them there.
"Camilla and Charles wanted to show their support and invited Harry and Meghan plus their friend Lucia Santa Cruz to lunch at Highgrove. Lucia recalls: 'As a surprise, Camilla went out of her way to make sure the lunch consisted only of recipes from Meghan's cookbook, and that included a very hot salsa. It was a really nice gesture.' One that made no impact," Levin wrote (via Mirror UK).

Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Are Not Big Fans Of Queen Consort Camilla
According to Levin, Prince Harry's wife seemed bored and unresponsive toward Queen Consort Camilla. And it was also evident that she wanted to get her own way even after her mother-in-law tried her best to be supportive.
Other than Markle, Prince Harry hasn't always been a big Camilla fan. According to Levin, the Duke of Sussex wasn't always nice toward Queen Consort Camilla. And the latter even included her stepson in her list of the cruelest people she has ever faced.
"Yes, that's spot on actually. I decided I had to rebalance things. One was The Crown which was really cruel to her and the other was Prince Harry who had said some really nasty things about her too," Levin said (via Marca).
Prince William, Queen Consort Camilla's Relationship Only Improved In Recent Years
In The Palace Papers, Tom Bower also revealed that Prince William's relationship with Queen Consort Camilla only improved in recent years.
"One carefully managed myth peddled by [Royal PR expert, Mark] Bolland was that the boys had warmed to Camilla. But they tolerated her at best. In his early thirties, Harry was still complaining bitterly to friends that Camilla had converted his old bedroom at Highgrove, Charles's Gloucestershire estate, into an elaborate dressing room for herself," Bower wrote.
