But according to Radar Online, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex almost did not make it to their special day. After all, some members of the royal family did not approve of their relationship.
A source claimed that King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla urged Prince Harry to get rid of Markle fast. But it was the latter who allegedly saw Markle as a commoner, just like Kate Middleton.
“Snooty Camilla doesn’t want another commoner — like William’s wife Kate — tainting the royal blood and trying to change the monarchy. Camilla likes Meghan to her brother-in-law Prince Andrew’s ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson. She triggered public scandals by getting photographed having her toes sucked by a lover — and trying to sell access to the royal family,” the source said.

According to the source, King Charles even threatened to cut off Prince Harry’s allowance if he didn’t break up with his wife.
Earlier this week, the same publication alleged that Prince Harry and Markle’s wedding almost didn’t happen because the royal family was dealing with a slew of issues at the time.
For one, the British clan was allegedly having discussions as to who should succeed Queen Elizabeth. The monarch, who was still alive and well back then, was allegedly stressed out due to the entire ordeal when the only thing she wanted was to live the rest of her life in peace.

In Harry & Meghan, Prince Harry detailed a heated encounter between him, Prince William, and King Charles, which took place right before he announced his exit from The Firm.
“It was terrifying to have my brother scream and shout at me, and my father [King Charles III] say things that just simply weren’t true, and my grandmother [Queen Elizabeth II] quietly sit there and just take it all in. The saddest part of it was this wedge that it created between myself and my brother,” Prince Harry said.
Prince Harry also claimed that Prince William is on the institution’s side because of his royal duties and role as the heir to the throne.
