But according to two body language experts, Princess Diana’s demeanor in the snap proved that she wasn’t very comfortable with being in the limelight when she got engaged to King Charles.

“Charles is looking down and through the tops of his eyes. Diana’s not reaching for him. Princess Diana’s Body Language During Her Engagement To King Charles Analyzed By Patti Wood

Fellow expert Patti Wood echoed Brown’s statement.

“[Charles has] this big smile on his face. She is leaning her head in his direction and towards him. She’s got a smile on her face, but you see her doing a ‘locked cross,’ meaning her arm is wrapped all around her body and she’s grabbing it on the other side. That creates a locked wall of ‘I don’t want you to enter here,’” she said (via Cheat Sheet).

Other than the ex’s engagement photo, Princess Diana and King Charles also made headlines recently following the release of The Crown Season 5.

The newly-released 10 episodes of The Crown Season 5 featured Princess Diana’s affair with Hasnat Khan, her divorce from King Charles, as well as her untimely demise in 1997.
