What's Princess Diana's Role In Prince Harry And Meghan Markle's Romance
A body language expert suggested that the late Princess of Wales was integral in Prince Harry's attraction to Meghan Markle, Showbiz CheatSheet reported. He wanted to keep her safe all the time due to how Princess Diana was mobbed and chased by the press. Prince Harry's perspective on Princess Diana and Markle may have sparked the romance between them.
Speaking on behalf of Betfair Casino, body language expert Darren Stanton said Prince Harry is in "protective mode" around his wife. He was reportedly concerned about the questions she may be asked and how the interview would turn out.
Body language expert Spidey analyzed Netflix's Harry & Meghan for The Behavioral Arts on YouTube and echoed Stanton's sentiment. According to the expert, Prince William's brother was focused on keeping his wife safe, and he connected it to Princess Diana's death, which may have left him guilty or confused.
He noted in one episode when Prince Harry gushed over his wife, "You put a lot of faith and a lot of trust in me." She replied, "I did."
"This could be a big part of the reason why their romance was ignited very quickly," Spidey said, according to Showbiz CheatSheet. He added that it seemed "so important for Harry" to hear and was "the thing he [latched on]."
Was Prince Harry Right To Compare Princess Diana To Meghan Markle?
Elsewhere in the Netflix documentary, Prince Harry talked fondly about his mom and wife. "So much of what Meghan is and how she is, is so similar to my mom," he said.
However, body language expert Bruce Durham didn't agree with the Duke of Sussex. In his Believing Bruce YouTube commentary, he said Markle was the "total opposite" of Prince William and Prince Harry's mom.
"One bit of conflict when it comes to Diana and Meghan [is that] Diana was known for proactively, strongly, trying to get her and the kids out of the limelight and away from the cameras," Durham explained. "Whereas Meghan on this one aspect seems to be the total opposite."
He added that Markle is "used to the limelight", while the late Princess of Wales kept herself away from the cameras as much as possible.
"When you look at that one aspect of the difference between Diana and Meghan, they couldn't be more poles apart," he added.
Royal expert Kinsey Schofield, host of the To Di For Daily podcast and author of R is for Revenge, shared the same sentiment. She saw too few similarities between Prince Harry's mom and wife.
"I see very little of Princess Diana in Meghan's latest efforts," she told Fox News Digital. "What we loved about Diana was seeing her with people. Holding children. Laughing with the elderly. The empathy and compassion written all over her body."
"Diana wouldn't have taken photographers or a camera crew with her to Uvalde. Everything Meghan does seem superficial and lacks depth and warmth."
