Princess Diana died over 20 years ago, but royal fans still remember her as their beloved People’s Princess. Her marriage to Prince Charles hasn’t been easy, especially since Camilla Parker Bowles was always in the picture. And after just a couple of years, the Prince and Princess of Wales decided to call it quits.
Princess Diana passed away months later. And some royal fans blamed Camilla Parker Bowles and Prince Charles for her demise. Even though the royal couple didn’t have anything to do with Princess Diana’s death, they were convinced that her life would’ve been different if she wasn’t forced to divorce Prince Charles.
Camilla Parker Bowles Much Nicer Compared To Princess Diana
For years, royal fans hated the Duchess of Cornwall. And some even regarded her as a homewrecker. But royal photographer Arthur Edwards said that at some point, Camilla seemed much nicer compared to Princess Diana.
“Camilla is nicer than Diana. Easier to get on with. Diana used to have her moods. And when she died, she wasn’t talking to her mother or Sarah Ferguson because of silly rows. You don’t get that with the Duchess of Cornwall,” Edwards said (via Cheat Sheet).

Princess Diana Was Very Charming Before She Married Prince Charles
But even though Edwards eventually learned that Camilla is nicer than the Princess of Wales, she still had a lot of good things to say about the latter. During a previous interview, he detailed his encounter with Prince William and Prince Harry’s mom before she married Prince Charles.
“I found her charming. In fact, I remember she asked me, stopped me in the street one day, and said ‘Why do you think why all this harassment?’ And I said ‘Well, I think because you’re going to be the prince’s bride.’ And she said ‘Why?’ She said ‘Just because I don’t have a past?’ And I said ‘It could be one of the reasons.’ I said, ‘You’re actually a very pretty girl.’ I remember saying to her, ‘Now look, when you walk around the corner, now don’t put your head down' because she has this, she had this awful habit of putting her head down. I said, ‘Look up and smile.’ And she did and it was a lovely picture,” Edwards said.
More Royal Fans Adore Camilla Parker Bowles Right Now
As of writing, more and more royal fans have also fallen in love with Camilla. After all, she has been nothing but supportive of her husband – the future king of Britain – Prince Charles. However, royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams also said that the public will never forget Princess Diana. After all, she is always mentioned in history books and memoirs.
“Here’s the problem – that anything to do with Diana, which is constantly in the news, does bring back past memories. The past decades bring back Diana. There will always be a section of society that is far from enamored by Camilla. That’s the way of the world,” he told Express.
