Prince Harry Details Kate Middleton And Meghan Markle’s Bridesmaid Dress Feud In Spare
According to Meghan Markle, the reports that she made Kate Middleton cry over Princess Charlotte’s bridesmaid dress weren’t true. The Duchess of Sussex stressed that it was the other way around, but Middleton apologized to her and sent her flowers the day after the ordeal.
In Spare, Prince Harry revealed that he saw his wife slumped on the floor, crying after she got into a heated exchange with Middleton. The two female royals weren’t on the same page over Princess Charlotte’s bridesmaid dress.
According to Prince Harry, Middleton thought that her daughter’s outfit was “too big, too long, and too baggy.” She also told Markle that all the bridesmaids’ dresses needed to be remade. However, the Duchess of Sussex suggested that Middleton bring Princess Charlotte to her tailor, Ajay Mirpuri, who was on standby at Kensington Palace at the time.

Princess Charlotte’s Bridesmaid Dress Tailor Reveals Her Outfit Did Not Fit Her Before It Was Altered
Now, Mirpuri is breaking his silence over the controversial bridesmaid dress that Princess Charlotte wore during Prince Harry and Markle’s royal wedding. He confirmed that the young royal’s outfit was indeed ill-fitting, and the same goes for all the other bridesmaids’ dresses.
“If anything happened in the background, it didn’t happen in front of me. . But yes, weddings are stressful at the best of times — and especially one at this high level; you’ve got to respect that. They were faced with a problem as anyone gets at a wedding, with last-minute hitches,” he told Daily Mail.
Mirpuri also acknowledged that anyone would also be stressed if they see that their dress didn’t fit.
“I can understand why anybody would be upset if the dresses weren’t fitting — it’s nerve-wracking. I feel for them all because you wouldn’t want the children to go out on a big stage in an ill-fitting dress — and that’s what they were. All six bridesmaids’ dresses had to be fixed, and we did it. I’m a royalist and I wanted to do whatever I could with my small business to serve the royal family,” he explained.
Mirpuri also confirmed that he saw straight away that Princess Charlotte and the other bridesmaids’ dresses weren’t going to fit.
“I’ve no idea what measurements Givenchy had received, but with our experience and knowledge we could see straight away that all six bridesmaids’ dresses had to be fixed, as they weren’t going to fit,” he said.

In Spare, Prince Harry revealed that the back and forth between Middleton and Markle took place four days before the wedding. This means that Mirpuri had to work his magic on altering the bridesmaids’ dresses just in time for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s big day.
Princess Charlotte arrived at St. George’s Chapel on May 19, 2018, looking as cute as ever. She rocked her simple white dress that was paired with her flower crown.
