Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie have always been close. In fact, before they tied the knot with their respective spouses, the royal siblings lived together in a four-bedroom apartment at St. James’s Palace.

During a previous interview with The Telegraph, Princess Eugenie said that she and her older sister get on really well even though they’re very different.

“We get on fantastically well, perhaps because we do and think different things. I am definitely not as polite as Beatrice, I have to say. I tell it as it is. I am shyer at first. Like, at a party I will say to Beatrice as we go in, 'Oh, you go first.' But then, when we're actually in, I am much louder and she is far more polite and solicitous,” Princess Eugenie said.

Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie Had Another Falling Out

New Idea, in its Dec. 6 issue, said that Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie had a falling out recently because of their children’s christening.

Princess Beatrice gave birth to her daughter, Sienna in September and she allegedly wants her christened together with Princess Eugenie’s son, August. However, the youngest daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson decided to have her son christened alongside Zara Tindall’s son.

“It was interesting that Beatrice didn’t join in on the fun with her own baby girl, especially given Sienna and August are first cousins,” the unnamed source said.

Prince Andrew Causing Problems Between Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie

Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie’s relationship also, allegedly, became strained because of their dad, Prince Andrew. The royal siblings allegedly have a different approach when it comes to dealing with their dad’s sexual abuse case.

“It’s sad, given how they are usually extremely close. But the fact they didn’t christen their babies together is very telling,” the unnamed source said.

Earlier this month, New Idea also claimed that Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie are not on the same page when it comes to their dad. And when the royal sibling attended a wedding in Greece, it was evident that the sisters were feuding.

“Eugenie seemed downright angry with Beatrice, who was trying her best to keep a straight face. It was like they were trying to play nice for the cameras but couldn’t quite manage it. They aren’t actresses, and Eugenie is particular seemed to struggle to hold it together,” an unnamed source said.

Princess Beatrice doesn’t allegedly want to be associated with Prince Andrew ever since he was accused of sexually abusing Virginia Roberts Giuffre. Princess Eugenie, on the other hand, couldn’t accept this about-face from her older sister.

“Eugenie would be stunned if not furious at this about-face from Beatrice, which is perhaps what her problem was at the wedding. The York sisters have never been anything but extremely close, so to see them tense in a public situation suggests all is not well,” the source explained.

However, there is no indication that Princess Beatrice turned her back on her dad. It’s been over two years since Prince Andrew was accused of sexually abusing Giuffre, but the Yorks are still a united family.

Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie Are Each Other's Rock

During a joint interview with Vogue UK before the pandemic, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie called each other their rock.

“We're the only other person in each other's lives who can know exactly what the other one is going through,” Princess Eugenie said.

Royal author Tom Quinn previously claimed that Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie had an odd childhood since their parents divorced early on.

“Beatrice and Eugenie had a very odd childhood, where their parents were, on the face of it, remained friends but they were seeing other people from quite early on. I think that was quite probably damaging in a subtle but kind of long-lasting way,” he said via The List.

Royal commentator Richard Kay echoed Quinn’s statements about Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie. Kay said that it must have been difficult for the sisters to understand why their mom cannot join them during royal family Christmas celebrations.
