According to Hello! magazine, there was even an instance wherein one of Prince William’s colleagues served him tea in a cup that had his face on it.

“We spent a few pounds on Kate and William memorabilia and strategically secreted it around the place, so he might find his own face on a cushion or see it on a cup when you give him a cup of tea,” one of Prince William’s friends from the military said.

Luckily for them, the Duke of Cambridge had a good laugh when he realized what they were doing. This proved that Prince William has a sense of humor. And he has also shown this trait on multiple occasions.

Lesser Known Facts About Prince William Revisited

Other than Prince William’s sense of humor, the future king has also been making headlines because of some interesting facts about him. For instance, not many people know that when Princess Diana was still alive, she used to call Prince William “wombat.”

During his interview with NBC News, Prince William said that he earned the hilarious nickname when he was just 2 years old.

“I've been rightfully told because I can't remember back that far. But when we went to Australia with our parents, and the wombat, you know, that's the local animal,” Prince William.

Prince Harry, who was with Prince William, at the time chimed in. The former joked that his older brother got the nickname because he was a lazy kid who crawled until he was 6 years old.

Other than his nickname, not all royal fans also know that Prince William once sustained a head injury from playing golf. While speaking with the BBC, the Duke of Cambridge confirmed the accident when he was just 9 years old.

“I got hit by a golf club when I was playing golf with a friend of mine. We were on a putting green, and the next thing you know, there was a seven-iron and it came out of nowhere and hit me in the head,” he said.
