Prince William and Kate Middleton were already back in the U.K. after wrapping up their eight-day Caribbean tour over the weekend.

There are different opinions about the recent royal tour, with some saying it was tone-deaf amid the slavery reparation calls and anti-royal protests. The Duke of Cambridge issued a statement after the tour and some wondered if he was hinting about his younger brother Prince Harry and sister-in-law Meghan Markle.

Prince William Released A Post-Caribbean Tour Statement On Instagram After Returning To The U.K.

Prince William and Kate Middleton received praises from royal fans for keeping their poise amid the calls for reparations payments and apology for slavery during their Caribbean tour when they visited Belize, Jamaica and the Bahamas. The Duke of Cambridge released a statement after their trip and re-affirm his decision to support the Caribbean nations that seek to be independent of the monarchy.

"I know that this tour has brought into even sharper focus questions about the past and the future. In Belize, Jamaica and The Bahamas, that future is for the people to decide upon. But we have thoroughly enjoyed spending time with communities in all three countries, understanding more about the issues that matter most to them," Prince William wrote on Instagram.

He continued, "Catherine and I are committed to service. For us, that's not telling people what to do. It is about serving and supporting them in whatever way they think best, by using the platform we are lucky to have."

The future king said royal tours re-affirm their desire to serve the people of the Commonwealth and to listen to the communities around the world. He also added that who the Commonwealth chooses to be its future leader is not on his mind because his priority is to "create a better future for the people who form it, and our commitment to serve and support as best we can."

Is Prince William Hinting About His Prince Harry And Meghan Markle In His Post-Caribbean Tour Statement?

Prince William only spoke about his and his wife's commitment to service. However, some wondered if he was shading or making a subtle dig at the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

"Is William's comment his job is 'not telling people what to do' a hint to his brother?" royal biographer and commentator Angela Levin asked on Twitter.

The tweet from the Harry: A Biography of a Prince author immediately received several responses. Some called out the royal biographer as her tweet was allegedly malicious. But some agreed with Levin that Prince William might be giving Prince Harry a message.

"It's questions like that which cause malicious and unnecessary rumours and could cause the person in question (Harry) unnecessary upset. You must be mad to think it's aimed at him. Just stop asking such silly questions," Matthew Randall commented.

"It's clearly, and cleverly, aimed at his ridiculous younger brother. Let's hope it gives Harry pause for thought," another added hoping that the Duke of Sussex would get the message.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have faced various criticisms in the past for lecturing people about how to live their lives. For instance, they lecture about the dangers of climate change but took private jets during their flights, Express reported.

Meghan Markle also received the same criticisms after writing a letter to Congress about parental leave. TalkRADIO's royal correspondent Rupert Bell said Prince Harry's wife "has always seen herself as having a political future."

"It would not be right for Harry to be telling the Americans about how to live their life, but Meghan definitely wants to dip her toe in political waters," Bell was quoted by Express as saying.
